Many of you may be aware of Steve's forthcoming autobiography but not so many will know that Steve's deal with Penguin Books (that's Dave the Penguin, who owns the book shop at the North Pole) also includes a follow up, a collection of his Poetic work. Yes, Steve is an accomplished Poet and for the first time ever, here at "Friends Of Steve", we present a small sample of his work.

Snow Blind by Steve

Snow is blind.
Blind as love.
Love is blind.
Blind as snow.

Horizon by Steve

How far does the horizon go I asked my mother on a cold Tuesday in
November.
As far as forever she said to her young, naive son, who had a taste for
knowledge.
Forever, forever I shouted so that the birds in the air and the great
caribou could hear.
Forever said my mother in her special way that made me feel calm and
loved all at once.
Forever.

Biography

You may have read an earlier version of Steve's biography here. We can now report this was completely erroneous. Yes, we should never have believed the journalists at the National Enquirer, but who was to know ...... now we can print Steve's official life story, smuggled out of the North pole by one of Steve's "people" eager for Steve's billions of fans around the world to know the truth :-

Steve was born on January 1 1977. He was raised in the North Pole,
where he was first exposed to poetry. He attended the Design Institute of
Finland as a foreign exchange student. It was there where he met Frosty a grad student working on a degree in Holiday Studies with a minor in web design. This was the beginning of a strong, sometimes trying friendship.

Steve an aggressive overachiever graduated in three and a half weeks
with a degree in philosophy and a minor in art. He was president of the chess club and debate club and captain of the la cross team.

Professionally Steve made and lost his first million during the
internet boom of the nineties. He worked at several internet start ups including J Plummington and Sons, Van.com, and Scooter Inc.com. a company that provided scooters to internet startups.

Steve has worked as a web designer, photographer, and professional chef
at the well know Sushi restaurant Raw Raw Raw in New York.

He first worked with Frosty on the independent comic Freezer Burn.
Steve served as head writer, illustrator, graphic designer, and text editor.
Freezer Burn was chosen as Pop Art Now’s independent comic of the year
in 1997.

Steve enjoys traveling and fine dining. In 1999 he participated in the
running of the bulls in Spain, this has since become an annual tradition. He
is fluent in Spanish, Dutch and Tagig

Steve lives in the North Pole with his husky Robert. He is single and not
currently dating. He would like to settle down with the right woman...someday.
